Only 8 meds to go

Grant had a great night. They were able to wean him off two more medications, so he is down to eight. They have also been able to reduce the nitric from 20 (on Wednesday) to four. They will continue to try to reduce it today. When they get him off it totally they can attempt to take him off the ventilator.

Hi Again, I am so glad to hear the wonderful news that Grant is progressing in the right direction. Every little improvement is so important! I know prayer is what saved my boys! Doctors told me I would loose both of them and they are now sitting in their bouncy seats, happy as ever! The power of prayer is amazing! :) I will continue to pray for your son!

By the way, after I posted on your blog, my cousin noticed...and turns out you worked with her. Julie Quick! What a small world!

Awesome news! I'm so glad to read it. For the zillionth time, please make sure you are eating and drinking and resting when you can (will help with the lochia and keep you from becoming anemic), continue taking your prenatals (or any womens' daily vitamin), and let me know if I can help you with PUMPING! It's so important for Grant right now. Love, Erika and Rory and Tiger and Allegra and Dustin

Dearest Shannon and Jim,
I have been thinking of you guys and Grant since Fran Smeak called me on Monday. Please know that you have been in my thoughts and prayers and, of course, all of Community Bible Study is praying for the three of you. I informed Lisa Kern of Grant Samuel's web site and have asked everyone I know to pray for your little guy (although 8 pounds is NOT little!).
I know that you two are wonderful witnesses to all the staff and other parents and I am praying for continued strength and peace for you.
Please take care of yourselves as you need to be well and strong as you are the parents of a beautiful newborn boy. I think if I had "one wish" for the Christmas holiday it would be for all children to be as wanted, loved and cared for as Grant is. What a wonderful world it would be!!!
I am thanking the Lord in advance for all the healing he will do in Grant's body and the wonderful life that he will enjoy.
God bless and keep you.
