Well, the vote is in... my mom said that Kate is officially the calmest baby she's ever seen. Thank you, God! I don't have much to compare her to, but she's definitely calmer than Mr. Energy Grant Samuel ever was. Grant still wins the award for happiest child ever. So, I'm feeling pretty thankful.

Grant has integrated Kate into his world really well. The first thing he says when he wakes up in the morning is "hug Kate!" So, I bring her in his room and he hugs her. Then he ignores her and asks for his bottle. I'm learning the art of trying to balance two kids in diapers and two kids who need bottles. (Yes, Grant still takes a bottle.) It works okay most of the time until they both need to eat at the same time. Most of the time Grant defers to Kate because he doesn't like to hear her cry. I don't either, so it works out pretty well that way.

That's funny! Kael never liked to hear Ellison cry either. In the car, he would just sit there and cover his ears. Now, however, he feels for her when she cries. Last night she cried in her crib and he started crying in empathy and told us "go to Elli, she needs you". Don't worry, those days are going to come for you sooner than you think. :)

I just wanted to stop by to see your beautiful children. Kathy Radom mentioned your site and how beautiful your children are. She is so right! Congrats on Kate's heart. God is so good and am praying for you with two in diaper and two on the bottles. Blessings to your family of four!

I'm so happy to hear that Grant loves his little sister so much! I agree with your friend below, that God is Good! And I will also be praying for you - diapers and bottles! :) Thank God for formula too!

Much love, Colleen

Hi Shannon, Jim, Grant and Kate,
There is such beauty in your family and in your writing of the updates on the family.
Rog and I just want to tell you both that the "next book" in the Niedzinski family may well be yours. When Paul tell us to count it all "JOY" when we suffer trials and tribulations, we have to wonder if the guy got the message right...but he did...it is like building a house or working on a project together, it may take longer than planned, there may be mistakes along the way, the timing may not be what we had in mind...but OH...the JOY...when it comes together and has purpose...just keep your eyes on HIM...HE promised you everything HIS WORD says...and HIS WORD is TRUE....We love you and pray for you daily....You are so precious to Jesus...If you are too tired to hold on...HE's NOT...REST in HIM..
Love,
Sheila and Rog
