"Welcome to the attachment phase!"

Grant is MR.Clingy these days. He loves to be snuggled by his mommy all the time. When the phone rings and mommy answers it, he cries. When she puts him in his pack and play to make dinner he raises up his arms and grunts. Did I mention Grant is clingy? It's nice to know I'm loved and all, but sheeeeh, how do moms of 8 month olds get anything done???

Between knocking over stacks of blocks and eating anything he can get his hands on, Grant is scooting all over the room on his bottom. We're still working on exercises everyday to develop skills for crawling and walking. He's getting closer everyday.

Glad to hear that Grant is soo busy!! Oh, the clingy phase! How I thought I missed those days....now, my two month old has gotten clingy! Caden is out of it and loving being so independent! That's good that Grant has figured out a way to get around! Caden just stayed in one spot crying until he learned to crawl. He was 10 months old when he began scooting! I am so sorry that I haven't gotten a chance to email or sign your blog. Things have been so crazy with the new baby. I finally posted some pics of him on Caden's website. Well, gotta run! Just know that you guys are in our prayers!

The answer is that mothers of 8, 9, 10 months old just don't get anything done!

Praise and thanksgiving that Grant is a normal baby! This is the age babies notice that the world is full of strangers and other strange things - and so they cling. It will pass. And thank God for that healthy appetite! Maybe you can sneak him fluids with juicy squishy food????

Well Shannon,I have not been checking in too often. So when you say Grant is eating everything in sight, I say WOW! And there is your answer. There is always something to stress over in raising children but before you know it the problem is solved and you are on to something else. Marjolein has become all mommy all the time this summer, I keep trying to remember to enjoy it while it lasts.
