Grant's bottle update

I think we've had a breakthrough! Grant is now taking about half a bottle awake every morning. It seems that Grant prefers to do this only when Jim is in the room and talking to him. So, in the morning we follow Jim around the house as he gets ready for work and Grant watches him and sucks the bottle. When Jim leaves for work, Grant stops sucking. Weird! But, we're making progress. I think the oral aversion is going away now that he is eating solids. Please pray that he continues to improve on the bottle. We're also trying out the sippy cup this week!

Congrats on Grant's progress. In my experience, every baby has their "thing" that you have to cater to in some way. Grant's is just having Jim when he takes his bottle. I don't remember Tiger's, but I remember Rory's and we're still dealing with Allegra's. Good luck with the sippy -- none of my kids would take it before 13mon, so try to be patient if he isn't into it yet. -Erika

Jim,
You must be feeling the pride (and weight of responsibility) of being Grant's role model! And to think you have an entourage following you as you get ready for work in the morning.... Really tho, I'm glad to hear he's taking the bottle better.
Love,
Janet
