We just got back from the GI doctor. Grant is 1.9% dehydrated. They will allow him to be up to 5% dehydrated before they check him into the hospital. They are seeing us again tomorrow morning to make sure he's not dehydrated.
I'm feeling tired and weary. Grant is hungry and frustrated. Please pray for God's strength for me as I try to do what is best for his little body. Time to go feed...

Hey Shannon and Jim,
I've been following your blog everyday and just want you guys to know that I am praying for you. May His grace flood through each circumstance you encounter and His strength enable you to persevere. For Grant, I am believing for his complete healing and for a full life of joy ahead.
Lots and lots of love, Catherine
Our family continues to read and praying for you. It sounds as though the Lord has provided you with wonderful Dr.s. We are praying that the Lord will sustain you as you bottle feed and make all the excursions to assess his hydration, knowing that for Grant to trust the bottle is going to take time, and he will fight it because he doesn't know better. What this Dr. says makes good sense, and is in Grant's best interest. We pray that all his caregivers have eyes to see what is truely going on with Grant, and that God will guide them to provide the best care possible. May He bless you and carry you all in the palm of His hand.

Jim and Shannon,
Good news to hear that Grant is not dehydrated enough to go back in the hospital.
Shannon, I know you must be weary beyond belief----I wish I could spell you a bit----but, instead, I'm telegraphing my hugs and support to you as you continue another day of mothering to the cutest baby I know.
Jim, hugs to you too.
Love,
Janet
Praying for you guys. It's a hard road you're walking, but you don't walk it alone.
Philippians 4:13
"I can do everything through Him who gives me strength."
Matthew 11:28
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."
Claim the promises of Scripture in a very tangible way today.
Lord Jesus, strengthen these parents that you selected for this child.
